Spring is our favorite time of the year in Spartanburg. The streets fill with music, arts and tasty events. Check out some of Downtown Spartanburg’s most iconic festivals and exciting new events.

Hub City Hog Fest

Friday, April 5 at noon - Saturday, April 6 at 9 p.m. in Downtown Spartanburg

Hub City Hog Fest is surely Spartanburg’s tastiest festival. Sample food cooked by professional competitors, indulge in a full plate of BBQ from a local food truck, and jam out to bands on Morgan Square. Competitor samples are in high-demand… Wing samples are available 6-8 p.m. Friday and BBQ samples are available noon-2 p.m. Saturday. Each sample costs one hog buck ($1). Entry is only $5! Want to get in free? Sign up for a volunteer shift.

 
 

CAB presents Betty Who

Saturday, April 13, 9-11 p.m. at Converse College

Ever heard of Pitch Perfect or Glee? Then you’ve probably heard of Betty Who. Converse College is bringing the Australian pop singer to campus for its annual spring CAB concert. Tickets are $5 with college ID and $15 for the general public. Get your ticket here.

 

Spartanburg Soaring! International Kite Festival

Saturday, April 13, 11 a.m. - 5 p.m. in Barnet Park

Have you ever seen a kite that’s larger than life? Head to Spartanburg Soaring to see colorful kites fill the skies above. Fly a kite in Barnet Park, meet local crafters at the Makers Market, or stroll around and enjoy the music and food vendors. It’s free to attend!

 

Spring Fling

Friday, April 26 at 5 p.m. - Sunday, April 28 at 6 p.m. in Downtown Spartanburg

Known as the Upstate’s largest outdoor street festival, Spring Fling offers a little bit of everything. The free three-day extravaganza features four stages of non-stop entertainment, a food truck rodeo, and lots of local vendors.

On Friday evening, dubbed the fastest night in Spartanburg, professional cyclists will zoom through the streets to win the SRHS Criterium. Look on from the bleachers or a track-side tailgate party.
