Spartanburg After Dark: Six College Nightlife Spots in Spartanburg
The newest bar on the block, FR8yard is an open-air biergarten and social hub. It’s the only bar in Spartanburg with a unique open air concept. Try your hand at cornhole, lifesize Jenga or ping-pong, much down on a hot grilled cheese or some tasty street meat, and soak in the entertainment on the stage or on the jumbotron.
Main Street Pub
This local spot is a Spartanburg classic. Main Street Pub offers a mixture of live music and DJs that gets the crowd dancing. Awarded Best Karaoke in Spartanburg for two years in a row, you can take over the microphone every Tuesday night. Don’t forget to grab a late night bite while you’re there - there are plenty of Pub Favorites to enjoy.
Delaney’s is an authentic Irish Pub offering a full menu, more than 30 beer taps, and lots of entertainment. There is live music five nights a week, BOGO meals on Monday nights, and plenty of space to play darts. College students take over Delaney’s every Wednesday night to enjoy Pint Night’s $2 beers.
Wild Wing Cafe
Known primarily for its wings, Wild Wing Cafe is also one of Spartanburg’s nightlife spots. It’s got everything from local bands and game day parties, to Saturday DJ Dance Parties and Tuesday Sorority Nights. Wild WIngs is home to the biggest dance floor downtown, so grab some friends and dance the night away.
The Upstairs Bar
Housed in Brickhouse Pizzeria, The Upstairs Bar is Spartanburg’s favorite late-night spot. You’ll often find a buzzing crowd and a live band at Upstairs Bar most Friday and Saturday nights. Tucked away on Ezell Street, it’s a stone’s throw from Main Street Pub and a quick walk from Delaney’s and Wild Wings. Oh, and did we mention BOGO Pizza Night every Tuesday?
Chief’s Wings & Firewater of Spartanburg
Chief’s is another wing spot that turns into a popular student hangout. Especially on Thursday night College Nights when the DJ is pumping the music. There’s often a themed party, and there’s a drink special every night of the week.
